REGULATIONS ON THE ORGANIZATION AND OPERATION

OF THE WORLD FREESTYLE KICKBOXING ORGANIZATION (WFKO)


CHAPTER I – GENERAL PROVISIONS

Art. 1.1 – The World Freestyle Kickboxing Organization, hereinafter referred to as WFKO, is an international non-governmental, non-political, and non-profit sports organization established under private law.

Art. 1.2 – WFKO operates in accordance with its Statute, these Regulations, and the internationally recognized principles of sports governance, including autonomy, transparency, integrity, and fair play.

Art. 1.3 – These Regulations are binding for all affiliated members, including national federations, associations, clubs, athletes, coaches, referees, officials, and all participants in WFKO activities.

Art. 1.4 – WFKO is established for an unlimited duration.

Art. 1.5 – The official abbreviation of the organization is WFKO.


CHAPTER II – PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

Art. 2.1 – The purpose of WFKO is to promote, develop, regulate, and govern Freestyle Kickboxing at an international level.

Art. 2.2 – WFKO pursues the following objectives:

a. to organize and regulate international competitions;
b. to promote Freestyle Kickboxing globally;
c. to ensure equal opportunities and non-discrimination;
d. to develop educational, technical, and training programs;
e. to establish international standards for competition, refereeing, and training;
f. to promote ethics, integrity, and fair play;
g. to prevent doping and unethical practices;
h. to encourage international cooperation between member organizations;
i. to support athlete development and high-performance sport.


CHAPTER III – MEMBERSHIP

Art. 3.1 – Membership in WFKO is open to legally recognized sports organizations that practice or promote Freestyle Kickboxing.

Art. 3.2 – Categories of membership:

  • National Federations
  • Continental Federations
  • Associate Members
  • Honorary Members

Art. 3.3 – Only one national federation per country may be recognized as the official WFKO member.

Art. 3.4 – Members must:

  • comply with WFKO Statute and Regulations;
  • promote WFKO principles;
  • pay membership fees;
  • ensure ethical conduct.

Art. 3.5 – Membership may be suspended or terminated for violations of WFKO rules.


CHAPTER IV – GOVERNING BODIES

Art. 4.1 – The governing bodies of WFKO are:

  1. General Assembly
  2. Executive Board
  3. President
  4. Secretary General
  5. Audit (Censors) Committee
  6. Ethics and Disciplinary Committee
  7. Appeals Committee

CHAPTER V – GENERAL ASSEMBLY

Art. 5.1 – The General Assembly is the supreme governing body of WFKO.

Art. 5.2 – It is composed of representatives of all affiliated members.

Art. 5.3 – Each member has one vote.

Art. 5.4 – The General Assembly:

  • adopts and amends the Statute and Regulations;
  • elects the President and Executive Board;
  • approves strategic plans and budgets;
  • decides on membership matters;
  • approves reports and financial statements.

Art. 5.5 – The General Assembly is held annually. Extraordinary sessions may be convened when necessary.

Art. 5.6 – Decisions are adopted by simple majority unless otherwise specified.


CHAPTER VI – EXECUTIVE BOARD

Art. 6.1 – The Executive Board manages WFKO between General Assembly meetings.

Art. 6.2 – It consists of:

  • President
  • Vice Presidents
  • Secretary General
  • Board Members

Art. 6.3 – Responsibilities:

  • implementing General Assembly decisions;
  • managing operations;
  • approving competitions and calendars;
  • supervising committees;
  • ensuring financial stability.

CHAPTER VII – PRESIDENT

Art. 7.1 – The President is the legal representative of WFKO.

Art. 7.2 – The President:

  • represents WFKO internationally;
  • presides over meetings;
  • ensures implementation of decisions;
  • supervises organizational activities.

Art. 7.3 – The mandate is 4 or 5 years (as defined by Statute) and may be renewed.


CHAPTER VIII – SECRETARY GENERAL

Art. 8.1 – The Secretary General manages the administrative operations of WFKO.

Art. 8.2 – Responsibilities:

  • implementing decisions;
  • coordinating staff and activities;
  • preparing reports and documentation;
  • managing communication.

CHAPTER IX – COMMITTEES

Art. 9.1 – WFKO establishes specialized committees, including:

  • Technical Committee
  • Referees Committee
  • Competition Committee
  • Medical and Anti-Doping Committee
  • Ethics and Disciplinary Committee

Art. 9.2 – Committees operate under the authority of the Executive Board.


CHAPTER X – COMPETITIONS

Art. 10.1 – WFKO regulates and sanctions international competitions.

Art. 10.2 – Competitions are organized according to official WFKO rules.

Art. 10.3 – Only licensed athletes may participate.


CHAPTER XI – DISCIPLINARY AND ETHICS RULES

Art. 11.1 – WFKO enforces strict ethical and disciplinary standards.

Art. 11.2 – Violations include:

  • doping;
  • corruption;
  • violence;
  • misconduct.

Art. 11.3 – Sanctions may include:

  • warnings;
  • suspensions;
  • fines;
  • exclusion.

CHAPTER XII – FINANCIAL PROVISIONS

Art. 12.1 – WFKO finances include:

  • membership fees;
  • sponsorships;
  • event revenues;
  • donations.

Art. 12.2 – Financial management must comply with transparency and accountability standards.


CHAPTER XIII – FINAL PROVISIONS

Art. 13.1 – These Regulations are binding for all members.

Art. 13.2 – They enter into force upon approval by the General Assembly.

Art. 13.3 – Any matter not covered shall be governed by the WFKO Statute and international sports principles.
