REFEREES REGULATIONS

WORLD FREESTYLE KICKBOXING ORGANIZATION (WFKO)


CHAPTER I – THE CENTRAL REFEREES COMMITTEE

Art. 1.1 – The Central Referees Committee, hereinafter referred to as the CRC, is a specialized consultative body of the World Freestyle Kickboxing Organization (WFKO), which supports the Executive Board in the organization, supervision, development, and evaluation of refereeing activities within WFKO.

Art. 1.2 – The CRC shall consist of five (5) members, generally structured as follows:

  • President
  • Vice President
  • Secretary
  • Director of Tatami Department
  • Director of Ring Department

Art. 1.3 – The members of the CRC shall be appointed by the Executive Board for a term of four (4) years.

Art. 1.4 – The CRC shall meet at least once per year, usually before the beginning of the competition season. Minutes shall be drawn up for each meeting, recording all decisions and measures adopted.

Art. 1.5 – Decisions of the CRC shall be valid only if adopted by a simple majority of the members present.

Art. 1.6 – The CRC may adopt decisions only if at least half plus one of its total members are present.

Art. 1.7 – The Executive Board may suspend or annul decisions of the CRC if such decisions contravene the WFKO Statute, these Regulations, or any other applicable WFKO rules and standards.


CHAPTER II – DUTIES AND POWERS OF THE CRC

Art. 2.1 – In carrying out its duties, the CRC acts in accordance with these Regulations and with any additional rules approved by the Executive Board.

Art. 2.2 – The CRC is subordinated to the Executive Board and shall implement all decisions concerning refereeing activity.

Art. 2.3 – The CRC shall guide, supervise, and control the refereeing activity of all referees operating under WFKO authority.

Art. 2.4 – The CRC shall coordinate the activity of all referees and submit an annual activity report to the Executive Board.

Art. 2.5 – The CRC has the authority to license, authorize, classify, evaluate, and promote referees for WFKO competitions.

Art. 2.6 – The CRC shall monitor and assess referees’ performances during competitions. Any deviation from the refereeing rules shall be reviewed within the CRC.

Art. 2.7 – The CRC shall examine written proposals, complaints, reports, or appeals submitted by referees, coaches, team officials, or member organizations regarding refereeing matters and shall issue a decision within fifteen (15) days.

Art. 2.8 – For each competition, the CRC shall designate a Surface Chief or Area Supervisor, who shall coordinate refereeing activity on the assigned competition area, in full compliance with WFKO regulations.

Art. 2.9 – At the end of each competition day, the Surface Chief shall submit a list of referees assigned to the competition area. Within a maximum of seven (7) days after the competition, a detailed report shall be submitted to the CRC President.

Art. 2.10 – After each competition, referees shall be evaluated based on their performance.

Art. 2.11 – The CRC shall organize and supervise referee education courses, seminars, examinations, and promotion sessions.

Art. 2.12 – The CRC has the authority to prepare refereeing tests and establish passing criteria.

Art. 2.13 – The CRC shall develop and update the official WFKO refereeing rules in accordance with international standards.
