REGULATIONS FOR THE ORGANIZATION OF COMPETITIONS

WORLD FREESTYLE KICKBOXING ORGANIZATION (WFKO)


CHAPTER I – GENERAL PROVISIONS

Art. 1.1 – These Regulations establish the framework for the organization of competitions held under the authority of the World Freestyle Kickboxing Organization (WFKO).

Art. 1.2 – All competitions organized under the authority of WFKO must be included in the official annual competition calendar.

Art. 1.3 – Member organizations wishing to host a competition must submit a formal request to the WFKO Secretariat, including the proposed date and location, within the established deadline for the following competitive year.

Art. 1.4 – Upon approval, an official agreement shall be concluded between WFKO and the organizing entity.


CHAPTER II – COMPETITION VENUE REQUIREMENTS

Art. 2.1 – Competitions must be held in accessible locations, ensuring adequate infrastructure and safety conditions.

Art. 2.2 – The venue must include:

  • spectator seating (tribunes);
  • separate changing rooms for male and female participants;
  • designated warm-up area;
  • award podium area with official WFKO branding;
  • space for the competition secretariat;
  • technical meeting and officials’ area;
  • appropriate competition surfaces equipped for official use.

CHAPTER III – RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ORGANIZER

Art. 3.1 – The organizer is responsible for ensuring the proper conduct of the competition.

Art. 3.2 – The organizer shall:

  • provide suitable accommodation options for participants;
  • ensure local transportation when necessary;
  • secure and prepare the competition venue;
  • send official invitations to participants;
  • provide fully equipped competition areas (tatami or ring, scoring systems, timing devices);
  • ensure qualified medical assistance and ambulance presence;
  • ensure safety and security measures;
  • promote the event through media channels;
  • provide diplomas, awards, and official documentation;
  • ensure appropriate facilities for officials, press, and protocol;
  • provide sound system for official announcements;
  • ensure award ceremony infrastructure;
  • provide adequate equipment (tables, chairs, podium, banners).

Art. 3.3 – The organizer shall ensure protocol services for referees, officials, and media representatives.

Art. 3.4 – Opening ceremonies shall include official formalities in accordance with international sports standards.

Art. 3.5 – The organizer is responsible for recruiting volunteers to support event operations.


CHAPTER IV – COMPETITION ORGANIZATION COMMITTEE

Art. 4.1 – The Competition Organization Committee is appointed by the Executive Board of WFKO.

Art. 4.2 – The Committee consists of:

  • President
  • Vice President
  • Secretary

Art. 4.3 – The Committee coordinates and supervises all competition-related activities.

Art. 4.4 – The Committee shall:

  • communicate the competition calendar;
  • coordinate participation of member organizations;
  • provide official competition materials and equipment;
  • prepare competition schedules;
  • ensure compliance with WFKO regulations.

CHAPTER V – EQUIPMENT AND LOGISTICS

Art. 5.1 – The Competition Organization Committee may provide official equipment, including competition surfaces and technical materials.

Art. 5.2 – Equipment must be handled responsibly, and any damage shall be compensated by the responsible party.

Art. 5.3 – The handover of equipment shall be documented officially.


CHAPTER VI – COMPETITION SUPERVISION

Art. 6.1 – Each competition shall be supervised by a WFKO-appointed Official Observer.

Art. 6.2 – The Official Observer represents WFKO and has full authority during the competition.

Art. 6.3 – The Official Observer shall:

  • verify venue compliance;
  • verify safety and medical arrangements;
  • supervise the proper conduct of the competition;
  • intervene in case of irregularities;
  • conduct the Technical Meeting;
  • ensure adherence to regulations.

Art. 6.4 – The Technical Meeting is mandatory and must include:

  • competition organizer;
  • refereeing representatives;
  • medical staff;
  • safety officials;
  • representatives of participating teams.

Art. 6.5 – After the competition, the Official Observer shall prepare a report detailing the event and any irregularities.


CHAPTER VII – FINANCIAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE PROVISIONS

Art. 7.1 – The organizer manages the financial aspects of the competition in accordance with applicable laws and WFKO regulations.

Art. 7.2 – All operational expenses are the responsibility of the organizer unless otherwise agreed.

Art. 7.3 – Any modifications to the approved competition must be authorized by WFKO.


CHAPTER VIII – DISCIPLINE AND COMPLIANCE

Art. 8.1 – All participants must comply with WFKO rules and ethical standards.

Art. 8.2 – Any violations may result in sanctions, including suspension or termination of the competition.


CHAPTER IX – FINAL PROVISIONS

Art. 9.1 – These Regulations are mandatory for all WFKO members worldwide.

Art. 9.2 – Any situation not covered shall be resolved by the Competition Organization Committee and the Executive Board.

Art. 9.3 – These Regulations enter into force upon approval by WFKO.
